An accident with a semi-truck is much more complex than a regular car crash. For one, these big rigs can weigh up to 80,000 pounds, which means a collision could lead to catastrophic injuries and fatalities. Investigating a truck wreck also requires highly technical knowledge of truck mechanisms and trucking laws.
Most semi-trucks in the US today are commercial carriers. When they get into an accident, the trucking company and their powerful insurer will likely be involved. Because of this, you may find it difficult to claim your rightful compensation. If you have been injured or lost a loved one in a semi-truck wreck, a truck accident lawyer will be an invaluable asset.
