60 Minutes conducted an independent investigation of the Chinese laminate distributed across the U.S. Their team collected 31 laminate samples, 30 of which contained formaldehyde levels over the legal emission limit, one of the samples exceeding 13 times the limit. The investigators went undercover and posed as customers at the manufacturing plant in China.
