As personal injury attorneys, the lawyers at The Fitch Law Firm often interact with clients who have been hurt and families of loved ones who have been killed by drunk drivers. They have seen firsthand the devastation that this form of reckless driving can cause. That is why the lawyers at The Fitch Law Firm are passionate about ending drunk driving in all forms, and why they created the Anti-Drunk Driving PSA Scholarship.
The winner of this scholarship for Spring of 2022 is Connor Lehan. A student at the University of Maine, Lehan is majoring in Media Studies and saw this PSA scholarship as a way to give back to the community while showcasing his skillset.
“The topic of drunk driving is already close to my heart since I’ve had friends and family directly impacted by it,” Lehan told representatives of The Fitch Law Firm. “Also, the opportunity to use my video production skills to create a video about drunk driving is mainly what drew me to this topic.”
Connor Lehan’s Service to the Community
In addition to creating a public service announcement against drunk driving, Lehan has also done volunteer work at his local library and local food bank. While entering college has required the majority of his focus, he says that he plans to get back to volunteer work soon.
“I hope that as I progress further in my college career, I’ll be able to participate in more activities and get an internship of some kind,” he told The Fitch Law Firm.
In high school, Lehan was involved with several organizations and extracurricular activities, including the National Honor Society, Speech Team, and Model United Nations.
